About Michelle Swan, Gold Coast Personal Branding Photographer
I founded Eyes of Love Photography in 2015. Since then, I've photographed thousands of founders, creatives, professionals and business leaders across Australia and internationally.
Every shoot is intentional. Before I pick up a camera, we'll chat through your offers, upcoming launches, business goals and dream clients, so every image we create is designed to connect you directly with the people you're here to serve. My goal is to make being the visible face of your business feel easy.
You can expect lots of direction, guidance and encouragement throughout your shoot, whether you're a natural in front of the camera or feeling a little camera-shy.
I'm based on the Gold Coast, Australia, and I regularly have clients travel from interstate and overseas to work together. I'm also available to travel for shoots throughout Australia and beyond.

Preparation is where a great shoot really starts. Here's how I'll guide you through it:
Step 1: Your pre-shoot planning call. Every branding package includes a Zoom consultation where we go deep. We'll talk through your business, current offerings, upcoming launches and dream clients, then map out the exact content you need and where it'll be used, whether that's your website, socials, sales pages, PR or online courses. I'll also recommend locations and connect you with hair and makeup artists I love.
Step 2: Select your outfits. I recommend three outfits per hour of shooting for real variety across your gallery. Try each on before shoot day to check underwear works with every piece, and bring them on hangers, steamed and ready to wear. For a full outfit guide, read my blog on what to wear for your personal branding photoshoot.
Step 3: Plan your shot list. A brilliant, varied gallery serves multiple purposes, from your website to your marketing collateral. Think about the working scenes that highlight your professionalism, the lifestyle moments that let your personality shine through, and the expressions that tell your story. For a full breakdown, read my blog on how to get the most variety in your personal branding photoshoot.
Step 4: Collate your props. Gather everything you'd like to bring (laptop, notebook, books, product samples, tools of your trade) in the days leading up to your shoot and pack them the night before. This saves the shoot-day scramble.
Step 5: Feel camera confident. If you're feeling nervous, download my free guide, Oh Shoot: Your Ultimate Guide to Camera Confidence, for posing tips and expression prompts.
Step 6: Show up and shine. On shoot day, bring your outfits, props and yourself. I'll take care of the rest, including direction, guidance and lots of encouragement.

I love it when there's alignment between who you meet in person and who you see online, so I always suggest choosing outfits you'd usually wear.
For a personal branding shoot, I recommend three outfits per hour, soft solid colours, and classic pieces that photograph beautifully.
For a full outfit guide, head to my blog post on what to wear for your personal branding photoshoot.
We'll also chat through outfits, hair, makeup and accessories together during your pre-shoot planning call.

Yes, absolutely! Combining travel with photography is honestly one of my favourite things.
I'm based on the Gold Coast and frequently travel from the Sunshine Coast down to Byron Bay for shoots, as well as interstate and overseas.
Travel fees apply for any shoots outside of the Gold Coast, covering things like fuel, flights, accommodation and transfers depending on where we're headed.
Just as often, clients come to me, which I love. I'll help you find gorgeous shoot locations for your brand, connect you with hair and makeup artists I adore, and share my favourite spots to stay nearby.
I'm a short drive from the Gold Coast Airport, so I can even drop you back after our shoot if the timing works out.
All you need to do is show up with your clothes and props, I'll take care of the rest.
Wherever you're based, let's have a chat about what you have in mind.

As awesome as I try to be, I haven't yet mastered controlling the weather (I'm working on it).
Most of my clients choose to hire a shoot location, which I love because it lets us capture so many cohesive shots in a short period of time. It's brilliant for building a diverse gallery, and it also means rain isn't really a factor. I have plenty of gorgeous Gold Coast shoot locations to recommend.
If we're shooting outdoors, I'll keep a close eye on the forecast in the lead-up, and together we'll decide whether to go ahead as planned or reschedule. I'll always give you as much notice as possible.
-
Rush turnarounds are often possible. Just let me know when booking your shoot and I'll always do my very best to accommodate your needs. Together we'll chat openly and honestly about your deadline and what's realistic.
My standard turnaround is two weeks from your final image selection, and faster delivery may incur a rush fee depending on the timeframe and gallery size.

Yes, all the time! Most of my clients choose to hire a shoot location, which I love because we can work in a beautifully styled space and capture so much cohesive content in a short period of time. It's brilliant for building a diverse gallery.
I have so many wonderful shoot location homes here on the Gold Coast that I can recommend, ranging from bright coastal to warm and moody, so we can match the vibe to your brand.
I'll also bring studio lighting along with me to ensure I can capture my signature clean, bright and timeless style, no matter the space or the time of day.

Yes, I do! Alongside my personal branding work, I regularly photograph conferences, corporate events, awards nights, galas and brand launches on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and throughout Australia.
My style translates beautifully to event photography with a focus on natural moments, genuine connection and warm, on-brand imagery.
Event coverage is priced separately from my personal branding packages, tailored to the size and length of your event, the number of key moments you'd like captured, and turnaround timing. Get in touch through the contact form with a few details about your event and I'll send through a custom quote.

Here's how the process works from shoot day to final delivery:
Step 1: Culling and editing. After our shoot, I'll cull through the images and apply my standard edit to your gallery, including colour grading, cropping, exposure and colour balance.
Step 2: Your proof gallery. Two weeks after your shoot, I'll email you a link to your private online proof gallery. The images are set out beautifully side by side, making it easy to compare and select your favourites. The email includes step-by-step instructions, and if you'd like a hand narrowing down your selection, I'm just an email away.
Step 3: Retouching your favourites. Once you've selected your favourite images, I'll apply professional retouching. Please allow three business days for this stage.
Step 4: Final delivery. Your final high-resolution images are delivered via Dropbox, ready for you to download, share and use across your website, socials and marketing.

My editing process includes exposure adjustments, colour balancing, cropping, and subtle skin retouching. I want you to be completely happy with your photos and will work closely with you to ensure the finished product reflects your vision. If there's something that doesn't align with you, feel free to share your concerns with me, and we can go from there.
Having said that, I do - lovingly, but firmly - stand by my editing style and aesthetic. And if you’ve chosen to work with me, I’m guessing there’s something about it that captures your eye (and heart) too.
-
When it comes to re-touching your face and body, I follow one simple rule: If it’ll be gone in a week, it’s okay to tweak. Everything else is staying – beautifully, naturally - as we see it in person. Eyes of Love is proud to promote healthy, honest, and realistic body image practices across all facets of the business, including editing.
-
All images are delivered as High Res files via Dropbox, within two weeks of making your final selection (not your session date).
-
You sure can! Just get in touch with me using the form above, and I'll send you my pricing.
-
Don’t worry; I store all images for 12 months. I’ve got your back, sister. I highly recommend that you make two backups of all of your pictures, both on a hard drive and through a cloud-based backup program.

Headshots are exactly what they sound like: professional photos of your head and shoulders, usually against a simple background. They're designed to show your face clearly and professionally.
A great headshot answers one question: "What do you look like?" Think of headshots as your professional "hello" to the world, perfect for LinkedIn profiles, email signatures, speaker bios, about pages and media kits.
Personal branding photography is an entirely different experience. It's not just about capturing your face, it's about capturing your essence, your story, and the feeling of what it's like to work with you.
Personal brand photography is about storytelling. During a session, we're creating a complete visual library for your business, with multiple outfits, various locations, lifestyle shots, detail shots, and images that showcase you doing what you do best.
For a full breakdown, including real examples across different industries and how to decide which is right for you, have a read of my blog post on brand photography vs headshots: what's the difference.
